I will take to the keyboard later tonight when I have time, to talk about why Saturday’s 5k was something I had to do. It’s going to be a long, emotional, down-to-the-core thing. I want to take my time writing it. But between now and whenever I actually write, I had to share this article from Trail Runner magazine. This guy is now on my radar, and I plan to check out his podcast and website.

His story is not centered on being a former couch potato, but he does mention that he was once 260 and sedentary. In his interview with Trail Runner, it is mentioned, but not featured. I like that aspect of the story.

His website is Ultra Pedestrian.  Running slower to run more, fat-fueling, searching to find what you can’t do, I am definitely getting on board.
